A flagship restaurant at The Westin Dragonara Resort
Accessed via a private road, which already signifies the restaurant’s uniqueness, and set in the original Marquis Scicluna’s guest house, Quadro is designed for both indoor and outdoor refined dining. Specialising in simple and homemade cuisine using fresh and local produce, its minimalist approach to food reflects also in its Interior design and décor.
Quadro adopts a clean bistro-style Interior that is perfectly portrayed through the blend oak wood, velvet fabrics, and brass, combined with natural hues that give the restaurant a stylish yet sophisticated feel. Innovative and versatile are two words that best describe this unique space.
Our professional team at Joinwell contributed to this project by providing consulting services for Interior design, refurbishment and replacement, lighting, paint colours and colour schemes and placement of furniture.
A Warm Welcome
First impressions are key which is why importance was given to the Quadro entrance. To match the existing skirting installed by Joinwell, gold-finished steel shelving with dark stained oak shelves was implemented to give customers a warm welcome to their refined dining experience. Cloak cupboards were also custom-made using a push-to-open mechanism applying the same grey colour as the walls to give the effect of a hidden closet.
The grey wall paint and the custom-made fabric roman blinds also complement nicely the look and feel of the restaurant.
Seating Arrangements
An elegant look is what Quadro was going for here. All the tables and chairs in the dining area were supplied by Joinwell and the existing steel bases were resprayed for a fresh and new look. Adding to a polished and sophisticated feel, a stone top was added to the dining table bases.
Apart from the dining area, the restaurant has two other waiting areas signified by the grey sofa, which is perfect for a relaxed drink or two with friends, and the two green armchairs and coffee table set up prior to the restaurant’s main entrance.
Furniture & Doors
Due to the restaurant’s high-class service, Quadro needed two waiter’s stations. Both these stations were completely custom-made to fit seamlessly in their desired placement. These stations facilitate the servers’ process and, in turn, make it easier to work in an efficient manner.
All the restaurant doors were also refurbished to fit Quadro’s new style. From the inside, the doors were stained in dark oak stain and, from the iroko natural finish was kept.
The Bar
We have left the best for last! The dark oak stained restaurant bar is definitely a stand-alone piece. Antique mirrors with brass trimming have been installed to the bar, together with, the gold-finished steel shelving and stools. Contrasted by the dark green wallpaper that surrounds it, the restaurant bar is the star of the show.
