As part of our commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Procurement & Shipping Executive to join our dynamic team. The Role
To manage and establish effective procedures for procurement and shipping operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and efficiency across the supply chain. This role is key to driving operational excellence, supporting client satisfaction, and strengthening supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring all items are ordered accurately and received within agreed timelines.
- Liaise with overseas suppliers to resolve queries and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client expectations, and contractual deadlines.
Shipping & Logistics
- Organise and coordinate shipments to meet delivery schedules.
- Prepare and review monthly loading lists with suppliers.
- Source quotations from multiple shipping agents, negotiate for the best rates, and optimise cost savings.
- Confirm and manage bookings with shipping agents, ensuring timely loading and despatch.
- Consolidate shipments where possible to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Communicate shipment timelines clearly with internal Logistics and relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with agents to track deliveries and resolve any logistical issues.
- Prepare, review, and maintain all necessary shipping and customs documentation in line with import/export regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement and shipping within a related industry.
- A good knowledge of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems (ERP knowledge preferred).
- Preferably fluent in Italian, with a good written and spoken communication skills; additional languages are an asset.
